MINCE pies were plentiful and mulled wine flowed as about 60 people got into the festive spirit attending the Christmas lights switch-on at Hampton Ferry on Saturday.
Evesham mayor Mark Goodge was on hand to oversee illuminations at the Evesham riverside venue with Avonbank Brass Band providing Christmas carols as visitors enjoyed the festivities.
A nativity scene created by town councillor Diana Raphael was a big hit and children enjoyed meeting Father Christmas who sampled the ferry as an alternative to his regular reindeer. The lights at Hampton Ferry will be in place until January and are lit until 8pm every evening.
