Gratitude after village history show

11:00am Wednesday 18th December 2013

HISTORIANS, writers and actors brought the history of Cleeve Prior to life to honour the fallen from two world wars. Broadcast Reminiscences used old newsletters and interviews with villagers as their primary sources. The show also included a playing of the Last Post as the names of village war dead were read. Members of the ‘Broadcast Reminiscences’ Company and crew presented Colonel Tony Ward OBE, Chairman of SSAFA (the Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Families Association) Worcestershire, with a cheque for £1,500. Gina Carr, chairman of Cleeve Prior Players, received a certificate from Col Ward thanking the Players for their donation – pictured.
