A VALE golf club has hit a hole in one with its brand new driving range facility.

The Vale Golf and Country Club unveiled its new state of the art range which is complete with the latest developments including a high-tech simulator to help golfers up their game.

Head professional at the club Paul Barker said: "Since the owners took over the club in 2009 they have invested a substantial amount into the facilities to continue to improve the facility for members and visitors who come to the club.

"We noticed at the Vale the one aspect that needed attention was our driving range facility, 20 years and looking very tired it wasn't an inspiration to go and practice on, have lessons or be fitted for the latest equipment.

"So we drew up plans for the investment, which the owners approved, and we have completed a full refurbishment including a state of the art fitting studio complete with Flightscope 3D Doppler launch monitor.

"The vision for the facility was to create a place where people would want to come and practice and to create an area at the club which would greatly benefit our loyal members.

"We also wanted to increase the service we offer with regards to custom fitting and now with our new studio we can compete with other places and offer fantastic customer service."
