Tie the knot all over again
Updated 10:14pm Monday 27th January 2014 in News
COUPLES can tie the knot all over again at Pershore Abbey this month in celebration of National Marriage week.
On Saturday, February 8, to mark the start of the week more than 80 churches will be taking part in the Big Promise, a special short service at 5pm.
The ceremony will include a renewal of marriage vows at exactly 5.15pm to co-ordinate with over 2,000 couples elsewhere.
The event is open to any married couples who wish to confirm and celebrate their own commitment.
An attempt may also be made to set a new Guinness World Record for couples re-affirming their vows, a record currently held by America.
Anyone wishing to take part should bring their wedding certificate to the service just before 5pm.
