THE Vale of Evesham Civic Society singled out a Rooftop development for its annual merit award.
Each year the society chooses a development project which has made the most significant improvement to the area in the previous 12 months.
This year the Rooftop houses at Blakes Hill, North Littleton, joined previous winners the Regal and Bengeworth Primary School.
David Way, secretary and acting chairman, said: "For 2013 we singled out the Rooftop houses at Blakes Hill, North Littleton, because the ten houses have been built to a very high standard, both architecturally and from an eco point of view, also at a very reasonable price, which I calculated to be around £160,000 per house owing to very high insulation levels. Rooftop claim that energy consumption will be vitually zero."
