KING Richard III has extended his stay in Winchcombe for an extra week due to popular demand.
As reported in the Journal last week, the 3D face replica based on the skull of Richard III, whose remains were discovered beneath a car park in Leicester last year, is on display at Sudeley Castle.
But the exhibition has proved so successful, the head will now be on show at the castle over the Easter holidays until Tuesday, April 22.
Lady Ashcombe, who owns and lives in Sudeley Castle, said: “The arrival of the reconstructed head of Richard III was met with great excitement, and the exhibition has proved so popular that we have decided to extend his stay.
“We’re sure this will provide families with a fun historical day out over the Easter holidays.”
On Easter Sunday the castle will celebrate with a range of Easter events including the Amazing Animals Easter Roadshow, a petting zoo and face painting and Easter themed arts and crafts from10pm to 4pm.
