ECKINGTON villagers will be opening their garages and inviting people in to grab a bargain at a community garage sale, which could be the first of many.
On Bank Holiday Monday, May 5, residents around Eckington will be selling various goods from their homes in an event organised by the village Women's Institute.
The sale will take place between 10am and 3pm.
Barbara Evans, from the WI in Eckington, said: "If you are at a loose end on the Bank Holiday Monday and fancy a bargain hunt, why not hunt out the Eckington garages.
"In the traditional WI way, light refreshments will be available and the garages will be open from 10am to 3pm.
"This is the first time such an event has been organised and if a success, may even become a traditional Bank Holiday event."
