SCOUTS in the Vale village of Twyning were delighted when they received a donation for hundreds of pounds from the local shop this week.
The Twyning Scouts were presented with £200 from Twyning Village Stores at the shop in the High Street of the village near Tewkesbury.
The money has been saved up from payments made by the locals to advertise on the in-store notice board.
Payment for adverts are placed in a pot, saved up and then handed back to the local community.
Lorna Herold collected the cheque along with some scouts and said they were delighted with the donation and said the money would be used for new camping equipment.
