Police chase - banned driver arrested after M5 crash

A BANNED driver has been arrested after he failed to stop on the M5, crashing into other cars.

Officers tried to stop the Peugeot 206 at junction 4 of the M5 just before 6pm yesterday.

It made off and crashed into two cars. The driver ran off towards Wildmore Lane.

All three vehicles were badly damaged but no-one was injured.

A 30-year-old man from Newport, Gwent, was located nearby and a quantity of cash and what are believed to be Class A drugs recovered.

He was arrested on suspicion of disqualified driving and dangerous driving and is in custody at Kidderminster Police Station, assisting with inquiries.
