Race night to offer top draw for charity

First published in News

THE Angel Hotel Pershore Plum Festival Racenight will take place this year in aid of Racing Welfare.

The event, taking place on Tuesday, July 29, at Worcester Racecourse is aiming to raise as much as possible for the charity by organising a Grand UK Racecourse ticket draw.

Jenny Cheshire, general manager at Worcester, came up with the idea.

She said: "This year, to make the event even more special we have asked all the racecourses in Great Britain if they would be kind enough to support this day for Racing Welfare by donating a couple of raceday tickets or anything else they might wish to.

"All the racecourse prize vouchers will be put in a Grand Draw and we will ask jockeys riding on the day to conduct the draw on the night. We have been overwhelmed by the support of the racecourses and are pleased to confirm that all 58 are on board with us."
