PEOPLE who can spare time to visit families coping with issues including illness and relationship breakdown are needed by Home-Start South Worcestershire.
The charity which offers support, friendship and practical help to families with children under five is looking for parent volunteers in Worcester, Wychavon and Malvern.
After initial training, volunteers are carefully matched with a family in their area and they then visit weekly for an average of six to nine months.
Families nowadays are often unable to rely on the extended family, and are often isolated or lonely on moving to a new area or when life becomes difficult.
The charity is looking for people who have parenting experience and can spare two to three hours a week.
