A COOKERY master class run by Evesham Hotel head chef Paul Napper will take place at Ellenden Farm this weekend.

The class is being held as part of the November Tasting Day at the Vale business and is the eighth festive tasting event to take place.

Running from 11am until 3pm there will be showcases of local suppliers, producers and farmers and anyone is welcome to attend.

Entry is free and as well as the food stalls there will be pony and trap rides, an arts and crafts area, dog agility displays, refreshments and pampering areas complete with massage and aromatherapy.

The event is taking place to raise funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and will welcome two special guests, Mr Napper and Father Christmas.

From 11am a demonstration focusing on how to cook a perfect joint of beef, using Ellenden's home-grown and free range meat will take place followed by him serving up Turkey Singapore Noodles for a festive and tasty treat.

Then at midday Father Christmas will make an appearance and children are welcome to visit him in his grotto.

Sara Turner of Ellenden Farm, organiser of the day, said: "It's fantastic to be able to show off all the amazing produce of our area. The support from local businesses, like The Evesham Hotel who have given up their head chef over lunch, is second to none."
