JEREMY Clarkson could be going out on a high, after his final series of Top Gear was nominated for best entertainment show at the 2015 TV Choice Awards.

The series finale, which also featured Richard Hammond and James May, bowed out with 5.8 million viewers when it aired on Sunday night.

Filming on the BBC Two motoring show was suspended after Jeremy was sacked for punching producer Oisin Tymon in a row over food in March.

Chris Evans has signed a three-year deal to lead an all-new line-up of presenters for the programme.

COMEDIAN Miles Jupp has been announced as the new host of The News Quiz after Sandi Toksvig stepped down from the long-running radio show.

Danish-born Sandi decided to leave the Radio 4 show after 220 episodes, saying that she wanted the freedom to express her political views.

Her replacement is best known for his role as hapless Nigel in Rev, as well as an incompetent press officer in The Thick Of It and Archie the Inventor in children’s show Balamory.

A MAN charged with trespassing at Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island mansion wants the singer to testify on his behalf.

The Westerly Sun reports that 24-year-old Nicholas Field, the man arrested on April 14 and charged with willful trespassing at Taylor’s beachfront mansion, has appeared in court.

Field says he wants the Shake It Off singer to be served with a subpoena to appear in court on his behalf.
