A GREAT fete, with true rural charm is taking place at the original Archers’ farm.

Fun for all the family with a quintessentially traditional English village fete feel, the organisers have arranged tractor rides, shire horse, jazz band, farm tours, local produce and a bouncy castle amongst other entertainment, as well as stalls and refreshments.

The fete at Rush Farm, Stockwood, on Saturday, August 8, is to highlight the Stockwood Community Benefit Society which makes shares in the 200 acre Rush Farm available for sale to individuals and groups in the Worcestershire community in order to protect and preserve the valuable organic land and wildlife habitat.

Sebastian Parsons, chairman of the society, is excited at being able to open up the farm to local people for the fete.

“This is a beautiful part of rural Worcestershire and it is a unique project for this area, to allow the community to buy shares," he said.

"Our fete is a fun, family way of showing everyone how amazing Rush Farm is.”

Rush Farm Fete takes place from 1-5pm and is free to attend.
