ANIMAL welfare and veterinary nursing staff at Pershore College have given a combined service of 60 years between them.

Angela Porter, Janice Baker, Katie James, Suzanne Wildman, Anna Walker and Kathy Gowenlock all received loyalty and commitment awards from director of animal welfare and equine, Marcus Roberts.

Pershore College offers a range of animal welfare and veterinary nursing courses up to degree level, and has a large Animal Welfare Centre.

Anna Walker, head of animal welfare at Pershore said: “Many of us have now been working at the college for more than 10 years, and we are all industry-qualified and experienced.

"Being able to pass our passion and enthusiasm for animals on to students is incredibly satisfying. Because we have all worked together for so long, there is a huge sense of loyalty towards each other and the college.

"Working in education brings it's own challenges, but we know that we are all there to support each other, and there is a great sense of camaraderie."
