EVESHAM'S volunteer-run talking newspaper is seeking new help to run the service.

The service has been running in Evesham for nearly four decades, providing a life-line to blind and partially sighted residents.

It is provided free of charge and the paper, which includes Evesham Journal stories, is recorded using modern recording equipment.

Peter Wisbey, from the service, said: "We are needing some more volunteers to help as readers, editors, some copiers, and some admin assistance.

"We record every fortnight, and with some help this will only require attendance every two to three months - just for a few hours is all we need.

"Training and support, where required, is given and our team of volunteers are friendly and helpful."

Anyone able to give some of their time to the charity can call Peter or Sylvia Wisbey on 01386 41165.
