SANTA will be coming to the Evesham area.

At the end of November and for the first part of December, Father Christmas will tour around the area raising money for local charities.

The events, organised by the Vale of Evesham Round Table starts tomorrow (Wednesday) with a trip to The Orchards, raising money for Tesco Evesham.

The sleigh will be in different places in Evesham from Yesterday until Monday December 19 with a special appearance outside Pershore's Asda on Sunday December 18.

Each charity that is helping with the collection will receive a part of the money raised.

Charities that will get some of the proceeds of a night include Evesham Bat Walk, Honeybourne Scouts, Hampton Scouts, Evesham Ladies Circle, Evesham Sea Cadets and The Children's Kayak Charitable Trust.

Evesham Rugby Club, Badsey PTFA, Badsey Guides, Harvington PTFA, Harvey Bears, Offenham Cricket Club and Evesham Dogs Trust will also receive a share of the proceeds from a night.

The Causeway, Evesham and Badsey Hockey Club, the Vale of Evesham 41 Club, Bengeworth Brownies, Bengeworth Scouts, Ourside Youth Centre, Adventure Playground and Evesham Swimming Club complete the impressive number of charities that will benefit.

On Thursday, (November 24) the sleigh will be in Cleeve Prior and on Saturday it will visit Hampton before visiting Elm Road and Lavender Fields on Sunday.

Monday will see the sleigh in Bretforton and on Tuesday it will be in South Littleton before moving to Middle and North Littleton on Wednesday.

It will spend the first two days of December in Badsey before completing that week at Harvington and Broadway on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The second week of December will start with the sleigh in Offenham on Monday, before it moves to Fairfield for Tuesday and Wednesday and then Greenhill and Briar Close to complete the working week on Thursday and Friday.

The second weekend in December sees the sleigh at Bengeworth on the Saturday and Charity Crescent on the Sunday before it moves to Falkland Road for Monday December 11.

The following day the sleigh, goes to Broadway Road and then it continues its trail at Davies Road, Thistledown and Cheltenham Road on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of that week.

The last visit will be on Monday December 19 when the sleigh will be in Honeybourne.

Listers Volkswagen have loaned Santa and the Elves a vehicle to pull the sleigh around.
