MP Harriett Baldwin popped in to see staff at a Pershore charity which helps local people to enjoy major outdoor events.

Event Mobility, based at Racecourse Road in Pershore, loans scooters and other mobility aids to people visiting major events ranging from the Royal Three Counties Show to the International Air Show at Fairford and the Burghley Horse Trials.

Mrs Baldwin popped in to see the team providing mobility scooters to visitors to Malvern’s Royal Three Counties Show.

Demand for the scooters was high allowing people of all ages to enjoy the demonstrations and stalls at the show, this year celebrating 60 years at the showground nestling in the Malvern Hills.

She said: “The Event Mobility team does a great job helping people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the popular agricultural show but also keeping people out and about at premier sporting events like Royal Ascot or the Ryder Cup.

“I visited the team at their Pershore base earlier in the year and promised to pop in and visit the stand when I attended the Royal Three Counties Show.

“I know what a difference it can make to people who need help getting out and about and Event Mobility does a great job fulfilling this need.”
