A bizarrely-shaped noisy aircraft from RAF Brize Norton was spotted flying over Worcestershire.

The unusual shaped Short SC-7 Skyvan was spotted in the skies above Worcestershire today (Monday).

It is nicknamed the 'Flying Shoebox' for its strange shape.

The plane, registration C-FARA, is registered in Canada and flew from Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.

Summit Air owns two skyvans at the site and operates a military contract for para training and the Falcons parachute display team.

The Skyvan flew past Upton-upon-Severn, through Malvern and towards Worcester according to Flightradar24.

It then took a winding route around Worcester, Kempsey, Malvern and Ledbury before returning to Brize Norton.

Skyvans continue to be used in limited numbers for air-to-air photography and for skydiving operations.
