A FOREST-THEMED library has opened at a school near Evesham.

Pupils at The Littletons CE First School are enjoying a new facility thanks to the support of the local community.

The new library opened earlier this month, featuring a treehouse donated and built by Foresters Financial.

Children at the school designed the project with the Littletons community coming together to bring it to life, from parents to grandparents and school staff to former pupils.

“It has been a fantastic project which has really shown the community spirit of the school,” said headteacher Paul Jones.

“So many people have supported us to create this wonderful space, which the children are very excited about using.”

On the day of the library’s opening, author and artist Petr Horacek visited the school to create a mural with the help of pupils, which will go on display at the new facility.

The library was officially opened by Spencer Morris, deputy director of education for the Diocese of Worcester.
