Three people were injured when a car overturned near Pershore.

Emergency services were called after a car left the Worcester Road in Pinvin at about 9.30pm on Saturday, December 16.

A fire service spokesman said: “Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews - one each from Worcester and Pershore Fire Stations - were called.

“Two casualties - one female in her 20s and one male in his 30s - were trapped in an overturned car which came to rest against a tree down an embankment.

“One other female casualty in her 20s had self-extricated before the arrival of the fire service.

“Small tools and cutting equipment were used to release the other two casualties who were handed over to the care of the ambulance service.

“The crews made the scene safe and then handed the incident over to police.”

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We were called to a single car collision on Worcester Road in Pinvin, Worcestershire around 9.40pm on Saturday, December 16.

“Three people suffered minor injuries.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.35pm on Saturday to a road traffic collision on Worcester Road in Pinvin, Pershore.

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a Critical Care Car from Midland Air Ambulance attended the scene.

"Upon arrival we found three occupants of the car. The first, a man and a woman who were the driver of and a passenger in the car.

"Both were assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening.

"They received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Worcester Royal Hospital for further treatment. The third person who was a passenger did not require treatment.”
