The play is set in the quaint, usually untroubled fictional village of Chipping Cleghorn.

The peace is disrupted when an advertisement in the area's newspaper reveals a murder is scheduled to occur on an upcoming Friday at Little Paddock, the home of character Letitia Blacklock.

The village's residents, unable to resist the shocking announcement, gather at the house at the said time.

Tension escalates as the lights suddenly go out and a gunshot rings out.

This invites the entrance of famed Christie character, Miss Marple, who must decipher a complicated web of relationships and incidents to identify the killer.

The Theatrebarn, nestled within a medieval tithe barn, provides an atmospheric backdrop for the play, boasting comfortable seating, a raised heated auditorium, as well as a bar for patrons to enjoy pre or post-show drinks.

Alice Heather, chair of BAD Theatre, said: "We always love being able to perform at Bretforton Theatrebarn.

"We are delighted to present our classic Agatha Christie.

"After our previous sold-out runs, we are looking forward to treading the boards again for the enjoyment of residents of Bretforton and beyond."

The performances will start at 7.30pm each night.
