An Evesham care home has been named one of the top 20 in the West Midlands.

Cavendish Park Care Home was given the accolade from reviews by residents and their family members for exceptional care and support.

The top 20 of the 1,603 care homes in the region, were given the award from the UK's leading reviews guide to care homes, carehome.co.uk.

The need for care homes is ever-increasing, with 19 per cent (11 million) of the UK's population aged 65 or more.

There are nearly 17,000 care homes in the UK caring for around half a million people. More than 12,000 of these care homes support people aged 65 and above, with around half paying for their own care.
