A PERSHORE cyclist was left injured after he was struck on the head by what was believed to be part of a brick.
The incident happened near the skate area in Abbey Park on Sunday, between 6pm and 6.30pm and the victim, a man, suffered a severe cut above his left eye and further minor injuries when he fell off the bike.
Although he did not see anyone or anything, he believed he heard people running away.
Pershore police are urging members of the public to help to identify who threw the object.
A spokesman said: “There would have been a number of people around the area at that time who, perhaps unknowingly, have information that might help with our inquiries.”
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 03003 333000, quoting 236N/251009, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
