THE Queen of Hearts and a march hare were among the guests at a special Mad Hatter’s tea party at a Bidford care home.
Residents and staff at Waterloo House donned fancy dress and enjoyed a cake and a cuppa to celebrate the birthday of Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll.
They also watched the Walt Disney feature film based on the book as part of the day’s activities.
Jen Clay, activities co-ordinator, who was Alice for the event, said: “We enjoy putting on different activities to entertain and stimulate our residents – and we sometimes do readings from Alice in Wonderland, which they really enjoy.
“It is a theme that will make it a day to remember and will bring back memories for residents of their childhoods.”
