THERE was a buzz of excitement at Beckford WI's hands-on Technology Festival over the weekend as about 80 people turned out to try out the latest technology gadgets.
Techfest took place at Beckford Village Hall on Saturday to encourage local residents to try new technologies whatever their level of experience.
Event organiser and president of Beckford WI Yolande Yates said: “It was a really great day, there was something for everyone. The day had a good buzz about it.”
Visitors tried out Kindles, Smartphones and Twitter, learnt to build websites and had a go on a Wii Fit brought by event sponsors Rooftops Housing Group.
