EVESHAM’S Christmas Lights will be switched on tomorrow as the town prepares to welcome in the festive season. The Evesham Country Christmas event begins at 11am with the charter market in High Street and Bridge Street as well as a Christmas craft fayre in the town hall, Victorian penny arcade and organ, children’s rides, morris dancing and carols.
There will also be live music from this year’s W Factor Finalists and Vital Statistics Theatre Company.
The Riverside Shopping Centre will have Jack Frost and the Ice Queen giving away chocolates and Santa’s Grotto will be open from 11am to 2.30pm. At 3pm Father Christmas and his reindeer will parade up Bridge Street into Market Place where they will spend the afternoon. The lights switch-on will take place at about 5.30pm and afterwards visitors can enjoy a fireworks display and music from the Marabooboo All Stars
