EVESHAM police are continuing their enquiries into a ‘despicable’ burglary, which occurred while a family was at their dying mum’s bedside. Thieves broke into a house in Honeybourne as Vernon Smith, his father Dennis and sister Linda Blower were at Bricklehampton Hall Care Home saying goodbye to Margaret Smith, aged 81, on Tuesday last week. The offenders ransacked the house and stole cash and items of sentimental value including wedding rings. Anyone with information should call police on 03003 333 3000.
