A FORMER Pershore High pupil and budding pop sensation will perform her newest charity single in front of royalty tomorrow.

Tori White will sing Make it Home at the unveiling and dedication of the Bomber Command memorial in Green Park in London to more than 12,000 people including nine members of the royal family and the Queen, if her schedule allows.

The single, penned by legendary song writer Rod Temperton, who wrote Michael Jackson’s Thriller, is being released in support of the Bomber Command Memorial Fund and all money raised from sales will be donated to the charity.

Miss White said this is what makes it so important despite it also being her debut single. “The majority of the people I will be singing in front of will be veterans which is really nice,” said the 23-year-old singer, who now lives in Northampton. “I have performed in front of the troops before and they are all supportive of me doing this single. It makes it very sentimental.

“It is nice to be singing a song written just for the event. I am nervous but the Queen may not be there for my performance, but I hope she will be. It is all very exciting.

“We are hoping for the best in the charts and hopefully because it is written by Rod Temperton that will be a big deal for people. I am also writing my album with him now.”
