THIS is Jessica, a lovely dark brindle and white Staffie who has come into the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch through no fault of her own.

She is six years old and is very friendly and affectionate.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Jessica just wants to sit on your lap for a cuddle, she is such a sweet natured girl. She loves company and enjoys her walks.

"Jessica is used to living with children and is good with other dogs. She is housetrained, vaccinated, chipped and will be spayed shortly."

Please ring Geraldine on 01886 822083 for more information on Jessica or other dogs available for adoption.

Other rescued animals can be seen on the local branch website: rspcaworcester.org.uk or, for cats and rabbits, please call Pamela on 01905 841354 or The Holdings Rescue and Rehoming Centre on 07484 905707.

Cats in the branch's care can be seen at The Holdings, Holdings Lane, Broomhall, near Worcester WR5 3FP any day, except Wednesday, between 11am and 4pm.

There are no dogs or rabbits on site yet. Dogs continue to be boarded at private kennels and rabbits are in foster homes, until funds have been raised to extend the facilities at The Holdings.

Last week's featured dog, a beagle called Henry, has gone to a wonderful home with another beagle of a similar age. He is said to be settling in really well.
