MOTORISTS are being warned about long delays on the M5 northbound near Worcester with three lanes closed after a lorry overturned following a crash.
Traffic is queuing between junction 6 A449/A4440 Warndon Way/A4538 Pershore Lane (Worcester) and junction 5 A38 (Droitwich/Wychbold) following the incident early this afternoon (January 2).
Emergency services are at the scene, with lanes one, two and three – of four – all closed.
Cameras show that the lorry overturned right across the three lanes, facing towards the barrier just off lane one.
Highways England said: "Long delays on the M5 northbound between J6 and J5 near Droitwich Spa and Wychbold due to three lanes (of four) being blocked following a collision where a HGV has overturned.
"Recovery may take time due to damage caused to vehicle.
"Please take care on approach."
