A MAN who stole nearly £350,000 from an Evesham company has been jailed.

Ian Beale, who was a director for Evenproducts, used the money he fraudulently obtained from the business and HM Revenue and Customs to buy, stable and train nine race horses.

He had sole responsibility for the company’s accounts and stole the money by submitting false invoice payments and fake tax returns.

The 57-year-old pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court to two and half years in prison.

Evenproducts manufactures water storage equipment and provides relief after natural disasters.
