October 1 is Older Person's Day, a chance to celebrate the enormous contribution older people make to society by looking after grandchildren, caring for relatives and friends and the huge amount of voluntary work they do. To do this, older people need to look after their health and well being. To encourage health ageing you are invited to come along to the Town Hall on Monday, September 28 and/or Thursday, October 1 between 10.30am and 12noon for a taster of the exercise classes held there each week for the over 60's. Come along, meet the three qualified Extend Exercise teachers, Jenny, Steve and Jean, who are all volunteers; talk to people who attend the classes, watch, join in and have a bit of fun. For just £2 which includes refreshments you can learn about ways of keeping active, combating loneliness, making friends and helping us to celebrate Older Person's Day.
