PERSHORE LADIES GUILD

ON Monday, May 6, Janet Jarvis returned to continue her talk on the escapades of travelling on a small coastal ship travelling from Tahiti visiting Easter Island, Pitcairn Island and many other Caribbean Islands.

Life on board was certainly not boring, neither was the methods of transporting the passengers at one particular island.

I am not sure I would have felt confident being thrown up to waiting islanders so that I could visit. I don’t think they have heard of health & safety! The procedure was then reversed to return to the ship. Janet was very enthusiastic about her trip and hopes that one day she will receive another call to join their adventures.

I am afraid I prefer the comfort and luxury of a proper cruise ship.

The St George’s Day lunch at The Angel proved to be a great success and something that we may make an annual event. The Guilded Lilies were well received at the two venues last month.

Our next meeting will be on June 4 at the Civic Centre at 2pm where David Howe will talk on Remembering Not to Forget Something which may apply to most of us. Please come and join us.
