ISN'T it time that red valerian was put on the invasive weed register so that it can be controlled?
It is in full flower at the moment and will soon be seeding all over like dandelions.
Go to No Gains in Pershore to see the effect it has.
Every garden is full of it.
One garden, gravelled for low maintenance, is riddled with it.
It is slowly moving up Holloway and soon will reach the top.
It is successful as it will grow in cracks and dry places but has roots the size of fingers.
If it was classified as an invasive weed land or garden owners would have to become responsible and cut off the heads straight after flowering.
