A EVESHAM man has appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court court charged with the murder of 53-year-old Julie Hitch.
Mark Pearce, 51, has been held in custody since Friday April 15 after Ms Hitch's body was found at an address in Rowlands Court, Bewdley Street, Evesham.
Police had been called to the address at 5.50am on Friday morning to reports of an injured woman at the property. She was pronounced dead at the scene,
Police charged Pearce with one charge of murder on Sunday evening.
Appearing in court this morning, Monday, Pearce, also of Rowlands Court, Evesham, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
He was formally charged with the murder of Ms Hitch sometime between April 13 and 15.
He will appear at Worcester Crown Court tomorrow, Tuesday April 19.
