ARTISTS are invited to submit work for the first-ever Broadway Arts Festival.

Organisers are looking for original pieces in any medium based on either a broad view of life in the Cotswolds or reflecting the work of John Singer Sargent, whom the festival in June is celebrating.

“Works will be hung in a gallery and will be judged by a panel chaired by Peter Wileman, president of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. The winner will receive the John Singer Sargent Prize of £1,000 and the winner of the under-25s category – The Young Artist Prize – will get £500.

More details of the competition are available at broadway artsfestival.com or by calling 01386 853739.
