A LEADING health and fitness company just outside Worcester has said it was spoilt for choice when it came to recruit for its centre at Sixways.

General manager Wayne Isaac at David Lloyd Leisure Worcester said: “When opening a new centre you can never be sure what sort of calibre of candidate you’re going to attract, but we were overwhelmed by the quality in the area.

“We found running recruitment fairs to be the most successful way at engaging with the talented people in the area and those who’d already applied even came down just to have a chat with us and show their enthusiasm.”

David Lloyd is a multi-million pound exclusive health and fitness centre that provides everything anyone could possibly want from a club. With a vast gym, swimming pools, tennis courts, wet spa, kid facilities, café bar, a plethora of classes and courses, you really couldn’t get a much better offering when it comes to the facilities.

Wayne added: “We believe our facilities are second to none, but we also have fantastic staff to ensure the services customers get is also first class. We’re thrilled to have found so many of these staff locally.”

David Lloyd Leisure opened last December and while based close to Worcester, resides in the Wychavon district.

Jack Hegarty, managing director at Wychavon, said “We’re very pleased to have David Lloyd in the district.

Their investment in the area is fantastic and we’re also delighted that they have found it so easy to recruit such high-calibre people from the local population. A thriving economy is essential for all of us in the district.”
