ALIENS and spaceships landed in a Worcester library last week.

Eleven families got creative at Warndon Library, off Carnforth Drive, as part of the Out of this World Lego Workshop on Thursday.

Children and parents were treated to a story session with a space theme to give them inspiration for their Lego creations.

The event was organised by Family Learning and was held in libraries all around the country.

Library manager Lynne Shave said: "It was a great success. Lots of children came along to the workshop. The aim of the event was to get children and parents learning together and I believe that was achieved. It was good fun and the children seemed to really enjoy themselves listening to the stories and creating their own spaceship or alien.

"Warndon Library holds events like this all year round, but mainly during half term."
