POPPIES purchased during the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal (RBL) this year can be recycled at supermarkets around Worcester.
The Sainsbury's stores in Blackpole and St John's have recycling points which allow people to dispose of their poppies until November 24 so that they can be reused by the RBL next year.
Sainsbury’s Blackpole store manager, Gavin Jones, said: “The Poppy Appeal was a great success this year for fundraising and we’d like to thank everyone who contributed. With this recycling initiative, we wanted to show our customers another way they can support The Royal British Legion to ensure their poppies don’t go to waste."
