HEARTLESS poachers have inflicted horrific facial injuries on a deer.
The poor animal was shot in the face by illegal hunters in Symonds Yat East, Herefordshire, on Thursday, November 13.
It was found the morning after the shocking attack struggling to cope with its injuries.
Police believe poachers, who are known to be targeting the land, are responsible.
Officers and gamekeepers are monitoring the area and have warned that anyone caught with equipment used for lamping and poaching will be dealt with robustly.
This could include the possibility of having their vehicle, equipment and dogs seized.
