SMALL change has made a big difference to a Worcester charity.
Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation donated £450 to Asha Women’s Centre, on Bath Road, to pay for a new iPad.
The iPad will enable the charity’s clients to improve their IT skills, help them access other support skills and increase their employability.
Sarah Eardley, operations manager at Asha Women’s Centre, said: “We are delighted to have received this donation which provides a much needed resource for women at Asha.
“The iPad is used by the Moving On project, run and led by women at Asha, and helps them manage and record meetings, take photo evidence of projects and activities, whilst at the same time giving them an invaluable platform for learning new IT skills, developing knowledge and accessing information to further learning, support and events in the wider community.”
The Foundation is funded through the Small Change Big Difference scheme where members of the society donate the annual pence from their interest to assist smaller charities and good causes.
