A WARNDON man has admitted stealing two legs of a lamb and possessing asmall amount of cannabis.
Robert Evans of Crickley Drive appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court where he admitted stealing two legs of lamb worth £26 from the Co-Operative store in Lichfield Avenue and possessing about £5 worth of cannabis on Saturday, April 4.
Prosecutor Owen Beale told the court police officers had been on patrol in the Ronskwood area when they were told about a theft from the shop.
Evans admitted he had stolen the lamb, which he had sold in a pub, and waited with the officers while they reviewed CCTV footage.
The court heard the 41-year-old had a long criminal record and had been handed a suspended prison sentence in December for a similar offence.
Deputy District Judge Jim Tindall decided to extend the period of the suspended sentence by six months to a total of 18 months and ordered him to pay £26 compensation as well as £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
