THERE is still time to sign up for this year's Race for Life.

Registration for the race at Worcester Racecourse closes in two weeks, and more runners are needed to hit the target of 3,000 runners.

The race, which raises money for Cancer Research UK, takes place on Saturday, May 30 with a Pretty Muddy challenge held on the following day.

Kelly Rumble, Event Manager for Race for Life in Worcestershire, said: “You can choose your mission of 5k, 10k or Pretty Muddy. We are absolutely thrilled to have the new Pretty Muddy obstacle event. There’s something for all ladies and we still have places left so we are urging women to sign up as soon as possible.

“We also need volunteers to help on the day, men included. You could help on the course as marshals, with the obstacles, cheering or in the start and finish. Many hands make light work and volunteers are vital.”

In 2014, 2,997 women took part in Race for Life in Worcester and helped raise £162,700 for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
