CHILDREN from across the borough are being invited to take part in six weeks of sporting holiday fun as the council’s Summer Activezone returns.
Starting on Monday, July 20, the scheme offers free and paid for physical activity sessions for children aged five to 18.
Specialised coaching for sports including cricket, football, golf, gymnastics, multi sports and tennis is available throughout the holidays in the borough’s leisure centres, schools and sports clubs.
The Crystal, Dudley and Halesowen leisure centres will also be hosting summer activities, such as junior intensive swim lessons, arts and crafts and soft play, while borough parks will be home to a number of free group activities.
Events will be run by qualified physical activity activators until Saturday, August 29.
Dudley Councillor Rachel Harris, cabinet member responsible for health, said: “Summer Activezone is a fantastic guide to activities, coaching and sports across the borough throughout the summer holidays.
“It is a one stop shop for parents wanting to keep their children fit and entertained.”
