A WOMAN in her 40s has been airlifted to hospital after falling down the stairs at her Dudley home.
Emergency services crews were called out to a property in Sudeley Gardens, Milking Bank, at 1.50pm this afternoon (Tuesday) after the incident – and the street was blocked off while the Midlands Air Ambulance landed at the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “A woman fell down the stairs. She’d got some quite serious injuries so she was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.”
West Midlands Police confirmed officers were sent to the property after a call was received expressing concerns about the safety of the woman who was found to have sustained a stomach injury.
But a spokesman added: “There is no criminal investigation into the circumstances.”
