THE store manager at a Hereford jewellers described by her bosses as "a breath of fresh air" has been hailed a shop floor star.

Hollie Thomas was a finalist in the Shop Floor Stars Awards having been nominated for her work at Henryka jewellers on Widemarsh Street.

The awards recognise customer service staff and managers for the work they do in the industry.

The owners of Henryka, Anna and Trace Emmett, nominated their employee, along with Karen Amos, the shop's sales and marketing manager, saying: "Hollie is a breath of fresh air with an incredibly passionate work ethic.

"Her knowledge of our jewellery we specialise in and also the industry in general has helped the business develop further and move forward into wholesale.

"Our loyal customers who visit our Hereford store regularly have become friends of ours because of Hollie’s pleasant and thoughtful personality.

"Not only does Hollie manage a close, friendly and well-balanced team to achieve sales targets and to maintain high customer service, her motivational skills are inspiring."

Hollie attended the awards ceremony at Olympia London where she was presented with a finalist trophy.

She said: "From working in our Hereford store, I have over the years recognised our loyal customers and enjoy the satisfaction of spoiling them with Henryka gifts and offers, which gives me great reward.

"I’ve learnt that it is vital to give all customers an enjoyable shopping experience they will remember."
