TWO pubs in Wyre Forest are taking part in a national cider festival throughout July.
The Penny Black in Bull Ring, Kidderminster, and George Hotel in Load Street, Bewdley, will join the 17-day country-wide event from Friday, July 8, to Sunday, July 24.
The pubs will serve up to 25 ciders, boasting new and exclusives made especially for the festival.
Among the new ciders produced is Cidre Normandie, which has been made by a visiting French cider maker from Normandy, and Down Down – made in collaboration with rock group Status Quo.
Mathew Irvine, manager of The Penny Black, said: "The Penny Black will be offering a superb selection of ciders during the 17 day festival.
"We are confident that they will appeal to cider lovers and those enjoying cider for the first time."
