JOHN Lewis has once again chosen a Herefordshire singer for its much-awaited Christmas advert.

The department store released its festive advert last week which sees Buster the boxer and various wild animals bouncing on a trampoline gifted to a little girl for Christmas.

And a Herefordshire singer called Blythe Pepino and her band, Vaults, supplied the music- a cover of Randy Crawford's single One Day I'll Fly Away.

It is not the first time John Lewis has opted for a county singer as in 2010 they chose Ellie Goulding’s version of Elton Jones’ Your Song as a soundtrack to their Christmas advert.

Blythe Pepino studied at Hereford Sixth Form College from 2002 to 2004 and she also went to St Mary’s in Lugwardine.

When she was 17 she was in a Hereford band called BiZali with Aaron Zahl.

Vaults, based in London, is an electronic trio consisting of Blythe, producer Ben Vella, and instrumentalist Barney Freeman.

Since 2014, the band have been signed with EMI Records and their song One Last Night, was featured in the film, 50 Shades of Grey.
