A ONE off performance from Ireland’s foremost folk artists in aid of the Great Big Almonry Project is taking place in a few weeks time in Evesham.

Tir na nOg are Leo O’Kelly and Sonny Condell formed a duo in 1970 and since then have transcended all attempts to categorise them.

John Peel championed the duo from the start, recording many Peel Sessions with them, and they have toured with the disparate likes of The Who, Roxy Music and Jethro Tull, garnering a large cult following that continues to grow.

This year has seen the release of a new studio recording and they are embarking on an autumn UK tour, including a stop at the Almonry.

On Sunday, October 12, they will be performing new and beloved old tracks from 7.30pm until 10.30pm, in aid of the Great Big Almonry Project, supported by acclaimed local singer and songwriter Mike Weaver.

Tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the night.
